What is a token? For regular English text, 1 token is approximately 4 characters. As a point of reference, the collected works of Shakespeare are ~900,000 words or 1.2M tokens.

Does my token quota reset each month? Yes, your quota is reset each month based on your subscription date.

Do prompt tokens also count against my quota? Yes, both prompt and completion tokens are included in the total number of tokens used by a request.

Do I get tokens back if a request is denied? No, you won't get any tokens if a request is denied. However, if a request is denied due to a block on your account, you'll receive prompt tokens for the duration of the block.

What's the difference between prompt tokens and completion tokens? Prompt tokens are used to trigger a request and gives the AI engine a list of words it can use to generate a response. Completion tokens are used to complete a request.
